Japan is home to some of the world’s best boutique and flagship hotels, accommodations with cutting-edge facilities in prime locations and ideal for travelers who enjoy accommodation with a global appeal.
The Tokyo Station Hotel, however, stands in a category of its own.
Located within the confines of Tokyo Station’s red brick Marunouchi building, The Tokyo Station Hotel is literally at the city’s gateway.
Boasting an over 100-year track record in serving and accommodating customers in the know, the 150-room hotel is a designated national Important Cultural Property.
The hotel is also a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) and received the Best Gourmet Experience Award of the SLH Awards 2018.
It now also holds the record of being the first hotel in Asia — and third worldwide — to collaborate with esteemed French luxury fragrance brand Histoires de Parfums.
The Tokyo Station Hotel and the perfumerie have worked over a year to create a fragrance and bathroom amenities brand, Est. 1915, a set of products that embody the hotel’s elegance and sophistication in fragrance.
As suggested by its name, “perfume stories,” Histoires de Parfums offers a collection of scents conceived as “books read on the skin,” with each conveying a certain tale or history through the language of aroma.
Est. 1915 is supplied in 134 of the hotel’s guest rooms. A special Christmas accommodation plan, priced from ¥77,702, is scheduled to commemorate this milestone from Nov. 2, the anniversary of the hotel’s founding.
Dubbed A Journey of Fragrance, the plan will include a complimentary bottle of Histoires de Parfums’ highly popular 1969 perfume.
Also of special note is The Tokyo Station Hotel’s 104th Special Anniversary Dinner at French restaurant Blanc Rouge (from ¥20,000). Available from Nov. 2 to 4, guests can feast on Sendai wagyu beef and truffled abalone among other gastronomic delights.
