"Halal Expo Japan 2016 — Halal for All," which will be held on Nov. 22 and 23 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center Taitokan in Taito Ward, is a one of a kind expo that aims to showcase halal-related companies, products and ideas both in and outside of Japan.
The expo will be held in the middle of Asakusa, one of the most popular tourist districts in Japan, and will have about 100 halal-related businesses' booths featuring such things as halal-certified food from Japan and abroad, Muslim fashion, beauty products and Muslim tourism. On both days of the expo the "Tokyo Modest Fashion Show 2016" will feature Muslim fashion and styling sessions on the hijab, the Muslim head covering for women, will be held.
Additionally, there will also be seminars on such topics as inbound tourism and support for halal, as well as public-private cooperation in the field of halal.
Halal Media Japan, a Japanese halal website, the first to be available in English, helped organize the expo and has detailed expo information at http://expo2016e.halalmedia.jp.
Led by four Japanese representatives and headed by CEO Akihiro Shugo, Halal Media Japan aims to introduce the appeal of Japan together with its latest halal initiatives to further enhance the understanding of Japan to a broader audience in the world. It also aims to play a part in helping Japan become one of the world's leading Muslim-friendly countries.
