Deputy Education Minister Susan Keshavarz said Aug. 31 she planned to privatize public schools and increase teachers' salaries, but critics argued she is "amateur and unprofessional."
The remarks came as lawmakers debated for a second straight day the 21-member Cabinet proposed by Ahmadinejad. Keshavarz is one of three women proposed for his government.
