Gong, 42, was sworn in with 149 other new Singaporean citizens, holding her fist to her chest as she recited the country's pledge.
Gong, who starred in the Hollywood film Memoirs of a Geisha after rising to fame in Chinese movies such as Raise the Red Lantern and Farewell My Concubine, had been scheduled to be sworn in as a Singaporean citizen in August, but failed to attend the ceremony.
China does not recognize dual nationalities.
Gong, who was born in China's Liaoning province, married Singaporean businessman Ooi Hoe Seong in 1996.
