Three arrested for bankers murder
Russian police have arrested three suspects in the murder of a top Central Bank official, Andrei Kozlov, authorities said Oct. 11, as a newspaper reported that investigators had narrowed their search for those who ordered the apparent contract killing.
The Kommersant daily reported that police had detained three Ukrainians on suspicion of carrying out the murder of the first deputy chairman of the Central Bank. The newspaper said police were closer to establishing the identity of those who ordered his death.
In their investigation, police were focusing on several banks that had come under threat of losing their licenses about two months before Kozlov was shot dead, the newspaper reported.
