Mother held for killing son in Fukuoka?
A 35-year-old woman was arrested Sept. 22 on suspicion of strangling her 6-year-old son and abandoning his body behind a public restroom in a park in Fukuoka recently.
Kaoru Tomiishi was escorted by investigators to a police station early in the morning and allegedly admitted to strangling her son, Koki, a first grader.
Tomiishi said she killed the boy and was then going to commit suicide because she was distressed by raising her child, and was worried about her chronically poor health, according to police.
"I was going to kill myself after killing my son," she was quoted as saying.
