Expoland suffers another mishap
A roller coaster at the Expoland amusement park in Suita, Osaka Prefecture, which suffered a fatal crash on another of its rides in May, failed to stop where it was supposed to and continued for another circuit, the operator said Sept. 16.
No one was hurt in the safety mishap, which occurred at 2 p.m. Sept. 15, Expoland officials said. The Orochi roller coaster came to a halt the next time it arrived at the platform. About a dozen people were on the ride at the time.
The ride was shut down after the mishap. The operator was investigating the cause of the trouble.
