Baby girl OK after train accident
A 15-month-old girl sustained only minor injuries April 9 when a train passed over her at a railway crossing in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture, as she fell into the gap between the rails, police said.
The accident involving the Fujikyu Line's four-car train happened after the girl entered the crossing where she is believed to have walked from her home 30 meters away when her mother left her unattended.
Police said the girl sustained abrasions to her head, hands and feet, and other minor injuries.
