Toyota further expands sales Toyota Motor Corp. said Feb. 6 its sales in the October-December quarter expanded 15.2 percent from a year earlier to ¥6.15 trillion thanks to strong overseas sales growth. Group operating profit rose 19.2 percent to ¥574.79 billion and net profit rose 7.3 percent to ¥426.77 billion. For the whole of fiscal 2006 through March 31, Toyota left earnings estimates unchanged, including ¥1.55 trillion in group net profit, up 13 percent from the previous year, on ¥23.2 trillion in sales, up 10.3 percent.
