Internet services company Softbank and Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. are expected to announce the launch of a Japanese version of the popular Internet social networking site MySpace in the near future.
The two companies will each provide half the approximately ¥1 billion investment to form MySpace Japan, which will operate the new site.
Softbank Corp. President Masayoshi Son and News Corp.'s Chairman Murdoch are expected to hold talks soon to finalize the arrangement.
