Murakami was indicted in June for allegedly acquiring about 1.93 million shares of Nippon Broadcasting Systems Inc., acting on knowledge that Internet firm Livedoor Co. would try to buy a large stake in the radio broadcaster.

The financier plans to deny those charges, saying he obtained information from Livedoor later than alleged by prosecutors.
