Former ambassador's son wanted
Police have obtained an arrest warrant for the 31-year-old son of Carlos Ricardo Gutierrez, former Colombian ambassador to Japan, on suspicion of killing an American man in Yoyogi Park, Tokyo.
On Sept. 25, the police raided the residence of the 57-year-old former ambassador in Tokyo's Shibuya Ward where the former ambassador lived with his son, Ricardo Andres Gutierrez.
Police suspect Gutierrez may be linked with the Cali cartel, a drug ring based in Colombia.
They also suspect the murder victim was involved in some kind of trouble over drug trafficking in Japan as cannabis resin and other drugs were found at his home and cocaine was detected in his blood.
The police plan to place the suspect on an international wanted list through Interpol.
