Rafael Nadal
The Spaniard is the youngest French Open men's champion since Michael Chang in 1989,
thanks to his victory over Argentine Mariano Puerta in the Roland Garros
final June 5. Chang was 17 and never won another major title, but few expect Nadal, who
had turned 19 two days before his victory, to become a one-Slam wonder. He's too big and
strong, too cool and creative, too pugnacious and precocious.
