Man held over selling flight manuals
A 21-year-old man was arrested Aug. 15 on suspicion of selling through an Internet auction site All Nippon Airways flight navigation manuals believed to have been stolen from the company, police said.
Nobuyoshi Mikami, an employee at an aviation-related goods store in Tokyo, allegedly sold six books that disappeared from an ANA office at Tokyo's Haneda Airport between December and February.
Mikami is suspected of being an intermediary in sales of stolen goods, the police said.
ANA, which had been monitoring the auction site, found the manuals posted and up for bidding, and reported the matter to police after winning the auction with a ¥300,000 bid.
