Monk admits setting temple on fire A Buddhist monk at historic Sofukuji Temple in Hakata Ward in the city of Fukuoka has been arrested on suspicion of setting fire to the temple May 9, the Fukuoka Prefectural Police said. Hideaki Nagata, 26, is suspected of setting fire to a cleaning equipment storage facility behind the resident priest's living quarters on the night of May 9, burning down three buildings on the temple's premises. Police quoted him as saying he had been frustrated with problems in his relationships with other people.
