Nature's elegance reflected in evocative drinks

Tower's Bar Bellovisto is shaking and stirring up a trifecta of spring-themed cocktails that are available until April 30. The bar can be found on the lofty 40th floor of Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel in Tokyo’s Shibuya Ward.

Printemps Cooler (¥2,316) is a refreshing gin-based cocktail. The concoction is topped off with rose Champagne, giving the drink a colorful pop to match the season. The bold freshness of the fruit, offset by the hint of elderflower make this cocktail as delicious as it is visually gorgeous.

Spring Royal (¥2,316) is a frozen cocktail. This drink embodies the evolution of springtime scenery in Japan. A single glass holds the rise and fall of plum blossoms, peach blossoms, sakura and grape hyacinths (represented by the Champagne). It's luxurious, smooth and a poetic ode to nature's beauty.

La Danse des Fleurs (¥2,197) is made with yuzu (Japanese citrus) liqueur, sake, grapefruit and cranberry juice. The colorful petals floating inside the glass signify the joy of the coming of spring. One sip of this combination of tart and mellow sweetness will make guests feel as though they've been enveloped by the warmth of spring sunlight.

In addition, Bellovisto, set to undergo renovation in August and reopen in September, reintroduced a list of live jazz performers in December. Soothing piano melodies will create a relaxing atmosphere. The live performance takes place three times after 8 p.m. every night.
