UNITED STATES'Astro-nut' fired from NASA Astronaut Lisa Nowak, charged with attempted kidnapping after confronting a rival for another astronaut's affections at a Florida airport last month, was fired by NASA on March 7. She is the first astronaut dismissed by the space agency.
