A third-party panel said Sept. 4 it has selected 16 entities to buy the at-home nursing-care operations of the scandal-tainted care service company Comsn Inc.

The 16 include Japan Care Service Co., which is listed on the Jasdaq market and provides services mostly in eastern Japan.

The committee, in charge of selecting takers for Comsn's business, has found buyers for all of its at-home care operations, thus averting a debacle in which many customers would be cut off from badly needed nursing-care services.

All of Comsn's businesses have found takers except for its upscale nursing-home operations.
