¥50 million unearthed in Aichi
A construction company worker unearthed a plastic case containing ¥50 million in cash buried in a vacant lot in Owariasahi, Aichi Prefecture, when he was operating an excavator March 10, police said March 12.
If the owner is not found in six months, the cash will be divided between the 43-year-old man and the owner of the land.
The cash was in 50 bundles of 100 ¥10,000 bills put inside the case measuring 25 cm long and 40 cm wide. They were not newly printed bills and the name of a bank was printed on the band of each bundle.
