Diet session ends, support down
The first Diet session under Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's administration adjourned Dec. 19, witnessing the premier's support ratings slide rapidly over the three months since he came into power.
Abe's support rating stood at 65.0 percent soon after he took office in late September. It has since lost momentum and skidded below the 50 percent mark in just over two months to 48.6 percent in early December.
