Jobless rate fell to 4.1% in February The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped to 4.1 percent in February from 4.5 percent in January to produce the biggest-ever monthly decline, the government said March 31. The February figure touched the lowest level since July 1998. The number of jobless people was 2.77 million in the reporting month, down 310,000 from a year before and marking the third consecutive year-on-year decline.
