Kenji Imai seen in security camera footage

Kenji Imai had turned himself into police earlier in the day for an assault on a custodian in the same building March 29.

Imai, unemployed, was placed under arrest for the assault on the 68-year-old female custodian.

Police planned to serve another arrest warrant on him over the death of Yuki Yamakawa.

Imai turned himself in at the Tama Police Station of the Kanagawa Prefectural Police after police March 31 released videotape from a security camera showing a suspect who attacked the custodian.

According to police, a man resembling Imai was seen in security camera footage walking behind the boy just before his death.
