Zheng Yongshan、who is arrested for killing two children、enters the Otsu Public Prosecutors' Office in Shiga Prefecture on Feb. 19.

Zheng Yongshan, 34, a Chinese national married to a Japanese man, was taken into custody Feb. 17 on charges of fatally stabbing Wakana Taketomo and Jin Sano, both 5, as she was driving them to a kindergarten with her daughter, who attends the same school.

Sources said she has told investigators she did not specifically target the two children but killed them because they happened to be there.

Yongshan said during earlier questioning she believed other children were to blame for her daughter's inability to make friends, the sources said.
