Tokyo midtown outdoor rink

Tokyo Midtown is home to one of the biggest outdoor ice skating rinks in the city, with a capacity of 210 people. Built every year since 2010, the seasonal rink has become a popular winter site, attracting 35,000 visitors last season.

Nestled in a spacious green oasis in the heart of the city, families with small children, as well as office workers on lunch, can enjoy skating in the daytime, while visitors in the evening will be fascinated by the glittering illuminations surrounding the rink. There is a rink-side rest area where skaters can relax without removing their skates.

The rink will be open from Jan. 6 to March 6 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Tokyo Midtown, direct access via Roppongi Station, Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line and Toei-Oedo line. Admission is ¥1,500 (¥1,000 for junior high school students and younger). For more information, call 03-3475-3100, or visit
