Studying at a Global College

President Way Kuo of the City University of Hong Kong receives JIU gifts during his visit to the campus.

In order to be a significant player in the global society, one has to master English, the world's common language, and should be familiar with current issues in the world, in Asia, and in Japan. One is also required to have communication skills and decision-making ability, based on a global vision.

Josai International University offers a wide range of international educational programs to develop human resources with practical language skills and the talent to acquire knowledge and communication skills for international exchange. Some of our classes, ranging from basic levels to high professional courses, are offered in English. We also have various support programs to help students master English, in accordance with their English levels.

Josai students can learn global communication skills without going abroad because we offer them an environment to communicate with foreign students from all over the world. About 1,000 foreign students from 17 countries and regions are studying at Josai University, Josai International University, and Josai Base College. There are also about 50 foreign faculty members, offering Japanese students chances to learn English outside class. We also have programs to send our students to our partner universities and colleges abroad, offering chances to further learn English and other languages, and foreign cultures.

Primary partner universities and colleges associated with us include the University of Oslo (Norway), Lille Catholic University (France), University of Cologne (Germany), Budapest Business School (Hungary), University of Hawaii at Hilo (USA), University of California Riverside (USA), The University of British Colombia (Canada).
