Tokyo Station is a classic, elegant brick building that was originally built in 1914. The building was designated an Important Cultural Property in 2003. The Tokyo Station Hotel was established within this architectural icon in 1915, just one year after the station opened.
Directly linked to the station that receives and sends off around 3,000 trains per day, the hotel has become a popular spot among guests who know and appreciate its significance. The hotel has earned a reputation as a convenient meeting place and excellent destination for fine dining and drinks in the heart of Tokyo. It's a stone's throw from the Imperial Palace and its impressive moat, where each spring heralds breathtaking scenes of pink petal flurries spiraling from the cherry blossom trees toward their watery reflections below. It's an enchanting sight and The Tokyo Station Hotel has several limited offerings in honor of the season's beauty.
Its main restaurant Blanc Rouge serves classic French dishes with a modern twist, masterfully incorporating Japanese ingredients and cooking techniques. Here, guests can sit down to a delicious and visually striking seasonal dinner course titled Menu Printaniere (¥15,800) that features spring vegetables such as white asparagus, sea bream with kombu kelp flavoring and other excellent seasonal ingredients.
Over at Bar & Cafe Camellia, a sakura (cherry blossoms) cocktail promotion is underway. Guests can sit down with four different sakura cocktails made from cherry liqueur, strawberries and mint (from ¥1,650).
Dessert lovers will find an exclusive sakura mont blanc at The Lobby Lounge, as well as sakura French toast.
In addition to the spring promotions, the hotel is holding an Instagram photo contest until March 19 (Mon.). Snap and share your best photos or videos of Tokyo Station's exterior for a chance to win various prizes.
