The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo

Renovations mark beginning of a new culinary chapter

Diners are invited to experience excellent dining at The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo's newly renovated restaurants and brand new dessert shop. The Michelin-starred Azure 45 that specializes in creative and modern French cuisine and Towers, reborn as a contemporary grill restaurant, are two spaces that have been redesigned by Tokyo-based Design Studio Spin. Both evoke a distinct sense of place, achieving harmony between the modern metropolis and the hotel's graceful hospitality.

Azure 45's new decor incorporates Japanese textiles in a perfect backdrop for chef de cuisine Shintaro Miyazaki's dishes that are known for their exquisite presentation. Combined with mesmerizing views of Tokyo from the hotel's 45th floor, it's an experience sure to leave guests breathless with delight.

Towers contemporary grill features succulent beef, fresh seasonal seafood and vegetables accompanied by a variety of sauces. Chef de cuisine Franckelie Laloum's recommendations include aged Akaushi prime rib, as well as classic poultry and foie gras wrapped in pie crust. A wide variety of a la carte dishes are also on the menu, along with a selection of wines from around the world to elevate the dining experience. Lunch, brunch (served on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays) and dinner are available for ¥3,300, ¥6,500 and ¥6,800 respectively (tax and service charge excluded).

La Boutique Chocolates & Pastries, a new dessert shop that opened simultaneously, features a monochromatic urban decor and offers a signature cubed cake and premium housemade chocolate pralines. As a seasonal special, the shop will showcase Kiyomi orange cubed cake until May. Pastry chef Jimmy Bouley also recommends the rich chocolate cake and crispy mille-feuille with caramel cream and pecan pralines. Bouley, along with the restaurant team at The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo, supervises the pastries served at all three dining facilities.
