Royal Park Hotel

Beautiful sakura feature prominently in seasonal menus

The Royal Park Hotel is celebrating the cherry blossom season with a variety of limited offers.

In Lobby Lounge Fontaine on the first floor, a number of delicious drinks are available. Among them are a cherry blossom-inspired smoothie with cranberries and raspberries, as well as various shakes such as chocolate, vanilla and soy milk (¥1,425 each).

In celebration of the recent popularity of Japanese craft gin, known for its gentle flavor and botanical aroma, Fontaine is also holding a Japanese craft gin fair. Three types of gin are incorporated into elegant cocktails (¥2,138 each) skillfully prepared by the hotel's bartenders.

Also located on the first floor is Iki, the hotel's dessert and bakery shop. A parade of spring-themed desserts are on display in its glass showcase. Dainty pink roll cake that blends in salted cherry flowers (¥486); simultaneously crisp, yet soft melt-in-your-mouth charlotte russe generously topped with the choicest fresh strawberries (¥486); and subtle green choux a la creme with pistachio cream filling reminiscent of fresh leaves budding (¥540).

Meanwhile, the fifth-floor Japanese restaurant Genjikoh has prepared a seasonal Sakura Gozen lunch box (¥7,128 per serving) for the flower viewing season. Accompanied by clear soup made from delicate spring ingredients including bamboo shoots, the two-layered lunch box is an homage to the centuries-old motif of cherry trees in bloom and flower viewing. The lunch is complemented by decorative chirashi-zushi (sushi rice topped with a variety of ingredients), as well as other seasonal delicacies that are exceptionally pleasing to both the eyes and palate. All of the above prices include tax and service charge, while Iki's takeout cake and pastry prices include tax.
