Shozaburo Jimi

Jimi is the only Cabinet minister from ruling coalition partner Kokumin Shinto (People's New Party) to be reappointed, and one of the few Diet members with a medical background.
The Fukuoka Prefecture native graduated from Kyushu University's department of medicine in 1977 and has performed research at Harvard University.
Jimi became state minister in charge of postal reform and financial services after Kokumin Shinto chief Shizuka Kamei exited Naoto Kan's Cabinet in June 2010. He was also posts and telecommunications minister for the late Ryutaro Hashimoto.
Jimi, currently Kokumin Shinto's vice president, advocates revising the organ transplant and health insurance laws and establishing nursing care insurance.
