Aminishiki (5-7) was the yokozuna's latest victim, Hakuho fending off a challenge from the sekiwake and sending him sprawling with an overarm throw in Thursday's final bout at Fukuoka Kokusai Center.
Hakuho stayed tied for the lead with Chiyotaikai, who shot down fellow ozeki Kotomitsuki, and Estonian giant Baruto on 10-2.
Kotomitsuki and rank-and-filer Wakakirin are one win back.
Chiyotaikai never gave Kotomitsuki (9-3) a hope in the day's penultimate bout and sent him hurtling out of the ring with a flurry of trademark slaps and thrusts.
