Tyler to rejoin Golden State Warriors

Staff report

After a five-game stint with the NBA Development League's Dakota Wizards, rookie center Jeremy Tyler is headed back to the Golden State Warriors, the Bismarck (North Dakota) Tribune reported on Monday.

While with the Wizards, the 20-year-old had averages of 15.6 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks. In Dakota's 101-97 win over the Idaho Stampede, Tyler had a double-double (13 points, 11 rebounds).

Tyler played for the bj-league's now-defunct Tokyo Apache last season. He became the first former bj-league player to be drafted by an NBA team. Former NBA players have suited up for bj-league clubs, but Tyler made the unlikely move from the bj-league to the NBA.

"He's very skilled, he's young, and he's got real potential," Wizards coach Nate Bjorkgren told the Bismarck Tribune, analyzing Tyler's performance. "He's a presence in there, and he's still learning along the way."
