Top Rera Kamuy exec steps down
The Japan Times
The JBL's Rera Kamuy Hokkaido have made another change at the top.
Yosuke Kondo, who took over as the team's chief executive officer late last month, has resigned, the Hokkaido Shimbun reported on Friday.
The 37-year-old Kondo had replaced Kazuko Mizusawa, the team's original chief executive, after serving as general manager/president.
Now, Kazuto Hatakeyama is the team's new CEO. He has been a member of the team's executive board.
The Sapporo-based club is coached by Joe "Jellybean" Bryant, who guided the bj-league's Tokyo Apache from 2005-09. The Rera Kamuy franchise was established in 2006 and never had a winning season in each of its three previous campaigns.
Hokkaido, plagued by well-publicized financial problems, had the JBL's worst record (6-16) entering the All-Star break.
