BEIJING (AP) Carmelo Anthony scored 45 points to lead the Denver Nuggets to a 128-112 win over the Indiana Pacers on Sunday, splitting the NBA preseason series between the two in Asia.
Nene added 21 for the Nuggets, who led 33-29 after the first quarter at the Wukesong Arena in Beijing, where the Olympic basketball tournaments were played last year.
Anthony, who helped the U.S. team win the gold medal at the Beijing Olympics, made 14 of 19 field goals and 16 of 17 free throws. Kenyon Martin scored 12 points and J.R. Smith added 10 points.
Roy Hibbert led Indiana with 21 points, Brandon Rush made 14 and Troy Murphy scored 11.
On Thursday, Indiana ran over the Nuggets 126-104 in Taiwan.
