Lakestars hire assistant GM

The Japan Times

The Shiga Lakestars named Motofumi Iguchi their assistant general manager, the club announced Friday.

The 28-year-old Iguchi, a graduate of Bakersfield College, established a sports management company, named Japan Athlete Management Inc., in 2006.

This year, he became the second person in Asia to obtain an official FIBA certificate to be an international agent. Iguchi is expected to be in charge of team organization work, including scouting and interpretation.

The team also announced that it will hold a tryout from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on June 8 at Moriyama Municipal Gymnasium in Shiga Prefecture. For more information, visit www.lakestars.net/.
