Inamoto's Frontale switch official

KAWASAKI (Kyodo) Kawasaki Frontale said Wednesday they have agreed with French side Rennes on midfielder Junichi Inamoto's move to the J. League first division club.

Inamoto will go to Kawasaki, runnerup this season, after a stint of 8 1/2 seasons in Europe.

The 30-year-old has scored five goals in 74 matches for Japan and is bidding to play in his third successive World Cup.

Inamoto joined Premier League club Arsenal from Gamba Osaka in 2001.

He also had spells with Fulham, Cardiff City, West Bromwich Albion, Turkey's Galatasaray and Germany's Eintracht Frankfurt.
