'Mr. Marinos' takes manager's job

YOKOHAMA (Kyodo) Yokohama F. Marinos said Friday they have named former Marinos star Kazushi Kimura as their manager for next season.

Kimura, who scored 26 goals in 54 matches for Japan during his playing career through 1994, will take over from Kokichi Kimura and manage a J. League club for the first time.

Kimura was a deadball specialist and was known as "Mr. Marinos."

Yokohama is now in 10th place in the 18-team first division.
