Vissel snaps up striker Ganaha

KOBE (Kyodo) Vissel Kobe has acquired former Japan striker Kazuki Ganaha, the J. League first-division club said Tuesday.

Ganaha had been released by Kawasaki Frontale after being limited to 15 league matches and two goals this past season due in part to knee and ankle injuries in March.

"I'll try to score goals to contribute to the team's victory," said the 28-year-old, who scored three times in six matches for Japan in 2006.

Earlier this year, Ganaha won an appeal against a six-match ban for allegedly breaking the J. League's antidoping rules.
