Iwata dumps midfielder Kikuchi

IWATA, Shizuoka Pref. (Kyodo) J. League first-division club Jubilo Iwata said Friday they have sacked midfielder Naoya Kikuchi, who was arrested earlier this month on suspicion of having sex with a minor. Iwata also said club president Hiroshi Ukon will take a 20 percent pay decrease for six months, while other senior officials have also been handed punishments. "We have to move toward regaining trust as quickly as possible and work as one at the club to make sure this sort of incident never happens again," said Ukon.
