The 28-year-old Araujo will leave for Brazil after the end of Gamba's campaign in the Emperor's Cup. Gamba has booked its place in the fifth round for a clash with Kashiwa Reysol on Dec. 17 at Kobe Wing Stadium.

Araujo joined fellow J. League first-division side Shimizu S-Pulse from Brazilian club Goias FC in 2004. He moved to Gamba this year and scored 33 goals in as many league appearances, including two in the 4-2 win at Kawasaki Frontale in Saturday's title decider.

Hara to leave

FC Tokyo said Sunday manager Hiromi Hara will leave the J. League first-division club after the end of his side's Emperor's Cup campaign.

Hara steered FC Tokyo to its first official title, with the Nabisco Cup triumph last year, during his four-year stint as their manager. FC Tokyo finished 10th in the 18-team J. League top flight this year.
