Fulham close on Ina

LONDON (AP) Fulham is close to agreeing a deal to keep Japan midfielder Junichi Inamoto at the London Premier League club on a permanent basis.

Inamoto has been on loan at Fulham since July 2002 from Japanese club Gamba Osaka. Inamoto was brought to England in 2001 by Arsenal, but didn't make a single league start in one season with the Gunners.

Fulham manager Chris Coleman said the Cottagers were still in discussions with Gamba Osaka to finalize a deal.
