'Nadeshiko' Japan begins training


MIMASAKA, Okayama Pref. — Women's World Cup champion Japan began a six-day training camp on Monday for the London Olympic final qualifiers in China next month.

A crowd of around 3,500 turned out to watch the soccer team nicknamed "Nadeshiko" Japan, about a month after its surprise World Cup-winning campaign received nationwide attention, winding up with the People's Honor Award.
