Eriksson quits Notts County: report

NOTTINGHAM, England (AP) Notts County's new chief executive says Sven-Goran Eriksson has quit the English fourth-tier club following a takeover.

Jim Rodwell told the BBC on Thursday that the former England coach has "resigned his position today as director of football."

Eriksson, former coach of the national teams of England and Mexico, has accepted the role of joint life president but Rodwell expects the Swede to "move on to bigger and better things."
