BUENOS AIRES (AP) River Plate midfielder Diego Buonanotte has been hospitalized with broken bones and other serious injuries and his three passengers were killed Saturday after he lost control of his car in the rain and slammed into a tree.
Eduardo Allegrini, director of the San Martin Clinic in Venado Tuerto where the soccer player was hospitalized, said that Buonanotte suffered a broken collar bone and also a broken right arm as well as bruises on his chest.
Allegrini told the state news agency Telam that Buonanotte is "out of danger" but would remain hospitalized and under observation.
