Man City showed no class: Fergie

MANCHESTER, England (AP) Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson says the way that rival Manchester City fired Mark Hughes last week was "unacceptable."

City acknowledged drawing up a list of candidates to replace Hughes before the start of the season even when it was allowing the former Man United striker to spend £200 million on new players.

British newspapers then widely reported that Saturday's Premier League game against Sunderland would be Hughes' last in charge before the Welshman had been told he was being fired.
