HIROSHIMA — More than ¥10 million in cash has been found in a waste disposal site in the city of Hiroshima.

The police in Asaminami Ward were still trying Tuesday to find out exactly how much money there is and were looking for the owner.

A worker spotted the money being carried by a conveyor belt Monday evening while monitoring a surveillance camera.

The site handles old furniture and other large items put out for disposal by residents.
