Osaka seminar will explore culture of the Ainu

A seminar on Ainu culture will be held from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 25 at the Yao Lifelong Learning Center in the city of Yao, Osaka Prefecture.

Futoshi Ikabe, a member of the Foundation for Research and Promotion of Ainu Culture, will give a talk titled "Ainu Bunka no Hokori" ("The Pride of the Ainu") to promote a deeper understanding of the Ainu. The seminar will be in Japanese.

Admission is free and 80 people will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The venue is a 15-minute walk from Yao Station on the Kintetsu Line.

Korean jewelry exhibition under way in Itami

The Museum of Arts & Crafts, Itami, is hosting the Korean Contemporary Jewelry Exhibition through March 25 in Itami, Hyogo Prefecture.

The museum is showcasing the works of nine famous professors and 22 students.

Admission is free. The museum, open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., is a 10-minute walk from the JR or Hankyu Itami stations.

Try out Osaka Station City quiz course challenge

Osaka Station City is hosting a quiz course walking rally through Osaka Station until March 31.

Participants will choose one of two quiz courses and stop at four checkpoints to answer questions about Osaka Station City. Those who answer correctly will get an opportunity to win a prize.

There is no cost to participate. If you want to take part, go to the Information Center in the North Gate Building in Osaka Station. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
