Free 'kyogen' show in Kyoto hotel:
The performance will be staged twice, at 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., in the hotel's lobby.
On the program is "Busshi," about a fake Buddhist sculptor. It will be performed by veteran actors Masami Amitani and Chubei Sakurai.
The hotel is a three-minute walk from Marutamachi subway station.

Kobe festival to benefit education efforts:
The eighth annual Kobe Global Charity Festival will feature stalls selling ethnic food, cake and cookies along with a children's costume parade. There will be a flea market, bingo, a lottery and attractions for kids.
The festival is being held to raise funds to support educational activities and other benefits for children, especially in developing countries.
The festival will be held on Tor Road, a five-minute walk from Sannomiya Station on the JR or Hankyu lines. There are no parking facilities.

Multicultural quiz rally at Osaka Castle Park:
The event is aimed at promoting friendship and mutual understanding by spending the day thinking, talking and walking together.
Participants will be divided into groups to participate in games and answer quizzes on points surrounding the castle.
Everyone taking part will be provided a sweat shirt in your group's color, which can be taken home after the event. Participants must bring their own lunches.
Participation is free.
