Panasonic goes green in Malaysia

Panasonic Corp. said Thursday it will set up an engineering company in Malaysia next month to provide water purification and other environmental technologies mostly to Japanese firms with plants there.

Capitalized at about ¥100 million, Panasonic Eco Solutions Malaysia Sdn. will help Panasonic and other companies reduce their environmental footprint when building and operating factories, the electronics giant said.
