Cerulean's casino chocolate box
The Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel in the Shibuya district of Tokyo will be accepting orders for its chocolate confections from Jan. 15 to Feb. 13 for the upcoming Valentine's Day.
Perhaps to represent the exciting and thrilling feeling of showing one's love to another on Valentine's Day, the hotel's pastry chef, Futoshi Makino, has created a special chocolate box called Casino: Les Jeux de la Fortune. As its name suggests, the box resembles a casino table including playing cards, dice and a roulette wheel, all made out of chocolate.
Inside the box, there are 10 different kinds of chocolates, making the confection both fun to look at and to savor. It costs ¥4,500 including tax. Only 20 of these Casino chocolate boxes will be made.
Also, there are two other chocolate boxes: Cerulean Selection and Cerulean Assort. All can be picked up at the hotel's pastry shop on the lobby floor from Feb. 1 to 14.
The Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel is a 5-minute walk from the West Exit of Shibuya Station. For more information or to place an order, call (03) 3476-3000 or visit www.ceruleantower-hotel.com .
