Monthly yoga, diet plan in Tokyo

The Rihga Royal Hotel Tokyo will offer a monthly special accommodation program called Karada (Body) Happy Stay for women who want to get a taste of a different lifestyle.

In cooperation with Aglaia, Inc., which offers an online diet information service, the plan includes Aglaia's eBalance Diet program, based on the theme of "becoming beautiful from within."

With the support of an eBalance Diet instructor, the extensive program lasts three days and two nights, and contains yoga and stretching exercises, organic meals and counseling for customers' health problems.

An amenity kit of basic skincare goods from Patyka, a French organic cosmetics brand, is provided. Also during the stay, customers on the plan can use the hotel's pool and sauna for free.

Each of the five meals during the three days is supervised by a dietitian. The meals are made to be filling but with fewer calories. In addition, at dinnertime on the first night, the hotel's chef will teach guests a quick antiaging cooking recipe.

The plan is scheduled from June 5 to the morning of June 7, and monthly thereafter. Reservations are required a week in advance. After breakfast on the second day, there will be free time until dinner, so customers can go to work as usual.

The plan is offered at ¥53,000 for single occupancy and ¥45,000 per person for double occupancy. The price includes tax and service charge.

All-you-can-eat Japanese order buffet

The Westin Tokyo in Yebisu Garden Place offers an order-style buffet called Bistro Mai at its Japanese restaurant, Mai.

Unlike a usual buffet, which is based on helping oneself to prepared items, the all-you-can-eat dishes will be prepared after guests order and will be brought to the table.

Thirty dishes prepared by the restaurant's head chef, Masahiko Saito, will be offered, such as steamed egg hotchpotch, tempura of shrimp and vegetables, special roast beef and udon.

The buffet is available at ¥7,500 per person for two hours of all-you-can-eat during dinnertime, between 5:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Also, an all-you-can-drink plan is available for an additional ¥2,500.

The price includes tax and service charge.

Spacious rooftop beer garden opens

The Ramada Osaka has opened its rooftop beer garden through Oct. 10.

The venue has 226 seats at tables, sofas and VIP private seats, along with a standing counter.

Many events are also held. Every Wednesday is Samba Night, when guests can enjoy samba rhythms over drinks while watching samba dancers.

Admission is ¥2,500 at the door, which includes free drinks of beer, wine, shōchū, distilled spirits and soft drinks. Pizza, sausages, salads and more will be on sale at the venue. Food prices range from ¥300 to ¥2,800. Advance tickets are on sale at ¥2,000 until May 31.

Opening hours are 6 p.m.-9:30 p.m. from Monday to Saturday,

5 p.m.-9 p.m. on Sundays and holidays. From July through September, hours are extended until 10:30 p.m. from Monday to Saturday.
